三月十八日，中美阿拉斯加会晤上，杨洁篪说了这么一句话，当时我感觉这句话的结构比较奇怪，我当时理解为杨洁篪的意思是今天美国已经没有实力对中国指手画脚了。
这句话张京翻译为 ”So let me say here that, in front of the Chinese side, the United States does not have the qualification to say that it wants to speak to China from a position of strength. "。
今天查了一下，原来这句话是针对布林肯今年1月19日在参议院听证会上讲的这么一段话：
"I think as we were thinking about how to deal with China, and I think this is reflected in the work that the committee is done, we have to start by approaching China from a position of strength, not weakness..."
由此可见，布林肯的原话强调的是美方要利用自身的优势来应对中国，后来布林肯在公开场合提到对华政策时也多次重复过“approach from a position of strength”这句话。
杨洁篪的意思是如果双方要合作，美方需要调整态度。美国人的优势正在逐渐减少。
