所有的无线网，都是要通过有线网来进行远距离，跨州，跨国，跨洋，跨洲的通讯传输的。有些地区已经有完备的有线网络，可是在偏远地区，在不发达国家，没有backbone, 就是建了无线网也没法工作，还要花时间把有线网建起来才行。如何才能够尽快地让无线网工作呢？那就可以用频宽比较大的，频率比无线通讯更高的微波来传输。现在的电讯公司，因为大部分是在城镇已经有backbone ，或者一般在初始阶段采用微波连线。无线通讯设备制造公司和微波连线设备公司是分开来的。可是华为的5G因为所需用很大的频宽，在设计系统时， 已经把微波连线跟无线通讯网(可以是基站),已经在设备上结合在一起, 这样建无线通讯网的时候, 如果当地缺少有线 backbone, 只要选择有效的节点用微波天线连线, 就可以, 要么跟远方的有线网连接, 要么和卫星链接，这样马上就可以工作, 进行信息传输了。是的, 在全球化进程中, 很多的发展中国家要建立通讯网, 这是很有优势的。
