In fact, In Islamic tradition, the idea of social welfare has been presented as one of its principal values.Similarly, duties to parents, neighbors, relatives, sick people, the old, and minorities have been defined in Islam.Respecting and obeying one's parents, and taking care of them especially in their old age have been made a religious obligation.  Concerning orphaned children, the Quran forbids harsh and oppressive treatment to them while urging kindness and justice towards them. It also rebukes those who do not honor and feed orphaned children.
