New research from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has
found that long COVID is more common than most people realize. The study,
which was published earlier this week, found that one in five adults under
the age of 65 has the condition.The research showed that common long COVID symptoms were respiratory issues
and pain in the bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, or muscles.There is a laundry list of potential symptoms of long COVID. Per the CDC,
they most commonly include:Tiredness or fatigue that interferes with daily life
Symptoms that get worse after physical or mental effort
Fever
Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath
Cough
Chest pain
Fast-beating or pounding heart
Difficulty thinking or concentrating
Sleep problems
Dizziness when you stand up (lightheadedness)
Pins-and-needles feelings
Change in smell or taste
Depression or anxiety
Diarrhea
Stomach pain
Joint or muscle pain
Rash
Changes in menstrual cycles
