If you follow Dr. Greyson, Newtonian physics works in normal but not extreme circumstances. Einstein's theory of relativity is useful under those situations. This doesn't mean Newton is wrong, just that he is not ALWAYS right.

Materialism likewise works in most normal circumstances but probably not in all, or extreme situations, such as the emergence of "consciousness" in the absence of brain functions. As a doctor studying these phenomena, he has no clue, no explanation why they happen.

It is therefore possible that materialism is right most of the time, but not ALL THE TIME, to explain the world.

Not sure what your take is on this. Do you even believe what Dr. Greyson is studying?
