Q1is a long-term reunion visa, which is suitable for long-term reunionif you stay in China for more than 180 days. The number of entries isonly once, and you should apply for a foreigner's residencecertificate to the entry-exit management agency of the publicsecurity organ in the place of your intended residence within 30 daysfrom the date of entry.

Q1是长期团聚签证，适用于在中国停留180日以上的长期团聚，入境次数只有1次,且应当在入境之日起30日内，向拟居留地公安机关出入境管理机构申请办理外国人居留证件。

Q2is a short-term family visit visa, which is suitable for short-termfamily visits for stays in China for no more than 180 days. The Lvisa application is for tourists to China, and a round-trip ticketreservation form must be submitted. If there is a domestic invitee,you must submit the invitation letter and the front and back of theinvitee's Chinese ID card. If there is no invitee, you must submit ahotel reservation form during your stay in China. If there is aninvitee in China and the invitee is a relative of the applicant, youshould apply for a Q2 visa without submitting a ticket reservationform or hotel reservation form.

Q2是短期探亲签证，适用于在中国停留不超过180日的短期探亲事由。L字签证申请对象是赴中国旅游人员，须提交往返程机票预订单。如有境内邀请人，须提交邀请函及邀请人中国身份证正反面。如果没有邀请人，须提交在华停留期间酒店预订单。如境内有邀请人，且邀请人是申请人亲属，则应申请Q2字签证，无需提交机票预订单或酒店预订单。

TheS2 visa is applicable to short-term visits to foreigners who stay orstay in China, or other private affairs, and stay in China for nomore than 180 days. If the visiting object is a Chinese citizen or aforeign citizen with permanent residence in China (holding a"foreigner permanent residence identity card"), he/sheshould apply for a Q2 visa.

S2字签证适用于短期探访在中国境内停留、居留的外国人事由，或其他私人事务，在华停留不超过180日。如探访对象是中国公民或具有中国永居留资格（持“外国人永久居留身份证”）的外国公民，应申请Q2字签证。

TheM visa application is for people who go to China for commercial tradeactivities.

M字签证申请对象是赴中国进行商业贸易活动的人员。

TheZ visa is generally applicable to short-term or long-term work inChina when employed by employers in China.

Z字签证一般适用于受中国境内雇主聘用，在中国境内短期或长期工作事由。

II.Distinguish between visa validity period, number of entries andlength of stay

二、区分签证有效期、入境次数和停留期限

Once in 3 months, twice in 6 months, multiple in 6 months, one yearor more. Generally speaking, the term of validity means that the visacan go to China within the prescribed time range, expired. The numberof entry refers to the number of times that can enter Chinesemainland within the validity period, and the number of use isinvalid. The term of stay is the time limit of being allowed to stayafter each entry.

3个月一次、6个月两次、6个月多次、一年及以上多次。通俗而言，有效期是指在规定时间范围内可持该签证赴华，过期失效。入境次数是指在有效期内可进入中国大陆的次数，次数用完失效。停留期限是指每次入境后被准许停留的时限。

III.The validity period of the visa you plan to apply for shall notexceed the validity period of the passport.

三、计划申请的签证有效期停留期限不超过所持护照有效期。

Ifyou apply for a Chinese visa for the first time, you can't generallyissue multiple visas for many years.

如系首次申请中国签证，一般无法发给多年多次签证。

IV.How can the expedited service reduce the time to apply for thecertificate?

Thevisa processing time is generally 4 working days. Due to specialemergencies, you can apply for expedited service, and the processingtime will be shortened to 2-3 working days.

V.The invitation letter can be written by hand or filled in theelectronic device.
